# Evaluate Boundaries and Deliver DSM

## When to use

Use this task for adoption reviews, cross-cluster design, release candidates, or migration completion decisions.

## Inspect first

- Inspect real-port evidence, Federation, the exclusion table, capstone, and unresolved limits.
- Confirm that source and example links use revisions recorded by the manifest.
- Read the [boundary lab](/en/23-redis-consistency-lab.html) through the [capstone](/en/26-capstone.html).

## Required inputs

Obtain deployment topology, cross-region ownership, sources of truth, failure budget, evidence level, rollback path, and approvers.

## Implementation path

1. Validate protocol boundaries through real loopback ports without describing the lab as a Redis replacement.
2. Validate Register, Lease, and CRDT Federation behavior separately.
3. Repeat the adopt, reject, or continue-probing decision for all eight state classes.
4. Run book contracts, the domain example, focused DSM contracts, the Redis lab, diagrams, and publication gates serially.
5. Report the release decision, evidence, failures, skipped work, and target-environment follow-up.

## Constraints

- An in-process relay does not establish production cross-cluster transport.
- A real loopback port does not establish cross-host networking or production capacity.
- Automated gates do not replace approval by business and release owners.

## Failure patterns

- Expanding one green run to every topology and load.
- Hiding flaky, skipped, zero-test, or first-run failures.
- Supporting a reproducible delivery claim with a `/latest/` URL.

## Validation

Run the pinned-version capstone and retain commands, results, and boundaries. Form a release candidate only after repository gates pass. Target-environment approval remains separate.
